The first piece I created for my independent study, which was based around creating mixed-media pieces inspired by (but not directly documenting) places I visited while on my internship the semester prior. I created thumbnails in my sketchbook, which I then built up in Photoshop as sketches and color studies. The final piece is a combination of the two sketches, which my professor and I agreed looked best. Watercolor, Copic marker, gouache, and metallic watercolor on 16x20" cradled birch panel.
