Disquiet

The second piece I created for my independent study, which was based around creating mixed-media pieces inspired by (but not directly referencing) places I visited while on my internship the semester prior. I worked with Procreate to paint over the thumbnail to make color studies, which I referenced while painting the actual piece. The piece has metallic accents in real life, which I tried to show in the final image! It's one of my favorite things to add details for the viewer to experience when seeing the physical thing, even if photos don't quite translate all the magic digitally. Watercolor, copic marker, and colored pencil on 4x6" cradled birch panel.
